Kate Inglis is a photographer and author. She works in a creekside shed along Nova Scotia's seacoast.
I got halfway through a photography diploma at Vancouver's Langara College before moving back east and writing books. I found my way back to the camera as a founding contributor to Shutter Sisters, and co-authored Expressive Photography: The Shutter Sisters Guide To Shooting From The Heart. My work is featured throughout Cheryl Arkison's quilt and lifestyle books A Month Of Sundays and You Inspire Me To Quilt.
For several years I have photographed families, portraits, and weddings (when not writing about pirates and monsters). I've led photography workshops at Pen & Paper in Manzanita, Oregon; Serendipity and Squam by the Sea retreats along the shore of North Carolina; for the Halifax-based Atlantic Photographic Education Group; and at my own shed along Nova Scotia's south shore.
